I am Will Nelson, an organic farmer with fifteen years of experience growing fruits, vegetables, and herbs, as well as raising poultry and small livestock. I’ve farmed in the dry hills of northern California, the rocky fields of the Northeast, and the wet floodplains of the Blue Ridge mountains. I’ve grown on very small scale, one-acre market gardens, all the way up to 25 acres in production, and everywhere in between. My farming practices have always been organically-minded with a primary focus on soil health.

I started Tried & True Farm Consulting to share what I’ve learned over the past fifteen years and help other farmers improve their growing practices, increase their yields, and achieve long-term sustainability on their farms. I can provide expertise in crop production, farm infrastructure, soil management, irrigation systems, equipment selection, and operational efficiencies.
